Tsidii Le LokaTsidii originated the role of Rafiki in The Lion King On Broadway for which she received a Tony Award nomination, Drama League Award, Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Musical. In 1998 she received the Outstanding Cultural Achievment Award (Harlem Jazz & Music Festival) and the EW Award. At the Dallas Theater Centre, she was nominated for the Leon Rabin Award for the role of Bloody Mary in South Pacific. She has performed with Miriam Makeba, Harry Belafonte and Max Roach Television: Tsidii Le Loka In Concert (South Africa); and Caught in the Act (USA/1995 Iris Award), and numerous commercials and endorsements (Johnson & Johnson).

Recordings: Blue Note Records' When Doves Cry and Yal Records' Heart Vision with Yusef Lateef. Tsidii graduated Magna Cum Lauda 1997, with two Bachelor Degrees in Economics and Music (University of Massachussetts, Amherst/Berklee College of Music).
