Tara's dancing career began aged three at the Cowhie Ryan
School
of Irish Dancing in her native Cobh, County Cork. Also interested in athletics,
Tara
participated in a number of All-Ireland Basketball Championships but Irish
dancing won out. By the time Tara joined the Riverdance she had won nine Munster
Championships, six All-Irelands, two British Nationals and two World
Championships. Tara has been with Riverdance since its 1995 premiere at the
Point Theatre,
Dublin. Future plans include an acting career and teaching Irish dancing at a
professional level but for now her main goal is to continue to delight audiences
in Riverdance - The Show.
